System for Transport logistics, A web application in .NET (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

E-commerce, shopping and selling on the internet has increased throughout the world. The

figures say that approximately 13-75%[1] of all logistics costs are estimated to be within the

transport of the final product. Home delivery is becoming more and more common and the

concept of Last Mile Delivery deals precisely with this, to transport end products in the most

efficient way possible to the customer. Transport logistics is both a business interest and it has

an environmental impact.

This report describes the process of developing an application that distributes packages to

drivers with optimized driving paths. Third-party Google Maps is used as navigation for the

driver. The application is developed with Microsoft ASP.NET and Entity Framework.

Communication is developed according to the principles of the architecture REST and the

work project development follows the agile method SCRUM.
