Abstract [en]

In today's society, there is a difference between men and women's ability to express their sexuality. Women have a more subordinate role in the sexual relationship and are expected to adapt to men. The aim of the study is to examine female students expectations in a sexual relationship. Central questions are what expectations female students think there are on men and women in a sexual relationship, how do female students feel that these expectations of men and women are created, and if female students find that there is a difference in how men and women are allowed to express themselves sexually. Previous research shows that it differs in expectations of women and men in a sexual relationship. There are several demands on women, how they should look and how they are expected to behave. This relationship is changing. The study is written from a female perspective and is based on two focus group interviews with female students from Örebro University. The study shows that female students experience there are differences in expectations of men and women in a sexual relationship. There are expectations on looks, but also behavioral expectations. The study also shows that women in today's society take more place in a sexual relationship and take the initiative to sex.
