Metoder för damhantering hos borriggar för bruk ovanjord (Swedish)
Abstract [en]

In the abundant assortment of drill rigs built by Atlas Copco there is a specific segment that this thesis is treating. The rigs addressed in this thesis are used in urban environments and are considered small rigs, typical used at construction sites above ground. These rigs however entail major problems to environments and rig operators. The drills create a fine rock dust that is both hazardous to inhale for the operators, and heavy to remove from site. An existing vacuum cleaner removes the dust from the hole but builds a pile of dust at the back of the rig where the dust is after a time becoming a problem. This dust constitutes the main industrial problem thus motivation for this thesis. Through the product development process a solution on a conceptual level was designed to meet Atlas Copco’s expectations regarding the dust emission problem. A new technology called electro static precipitation is the very foundation to this concept as it was deemed to be the best solution. Grounded plates collect charged fine dust particles that have been charged by a high voltage field. Its future looks bright but since the product is on the edge of technology Atlas Copco need to push the development and perform test to this science.

I Atlas Copcos rikliga sortiment av borriggar finns ett specifikt segment som denn avhandling behandla. Dessa riggar används i stadsmiljö och anses som små riggar för byggarbetsplatser. Dessa riggar medför emellertid stora problem för miljön och för riggoperatörerna. När sten borras så skapas ett fint damm som är både farligt att andas in och tungt att ta bort från platsen. En befintlig dammsugare tar bort dammet från hålet och bygger istället en dammhög vid riggens baksida, där dammet blir ett problem. Detta damm utgör motivet till denna avhandling. Genom produktutvecklingsprocessen skapades en lösning på en konceptuell nivå för att möta Atlas Copcos förväntningar på dammutsläppsproblemet hos riggen. Den tekniska lösning som bedömdes bäst bygger på en ny teknik som kallas elektrostatisk utfällning. Jordade plattor samlar laddade fina dammpartiklar som har laddats av ett högspänningsfält. Framtiden ser ljus ut, och eftersom produkten ligger på kanten av teknologin måste Atlas Copco driva utvecklingen och utföra test på denna vetenskap
