Abstract [en]

Digital recruitment is a well known method in the field of human resources but seldom used. The use of digital recruitment tools have increased a lot during the last 10 years and is steadily rising each year according to surveys. This paper examines how digital recruitment tools are used by recruiters, how the recruiters perceive them as a useful work tool and whether the rise of digital recruitment tools have led to any significant improvements to the field. Previous studies show that the usage of digital recruitment tools and online recruitment have increased rapidly over the last few years. This qualitative study is based on interviews with 5 managers from 3 different companies based in Sweden. The results show that digital recruitment tools are used for different purposes and in varying amounts, but the common view is that there’s a lot of potential in digitalized recruitment methods. Also, the study shows that the managers believed that the rise of digital recruitment tools had led to certain improvements for recruiters, especially when it comes to costs, efficiency and reach.

Digital rekrytering är en välkänd metod inom HR-branschen men sällan använd. Användandet av digitala rekryteringsverktyg har ökat drastiskt under de senaste 10 åren och växer stadigt enligt årliga enkäter. Denna studie undersöker hur digitala rekryteringsverktyg används av rekryteringsansvariga, hur de uppfattar digitala rekryteringsverktyg i arbetssammanhang samt huruvida dess uppkomst har lett till några fundamentala förbättringar. Tidigare forskning visar att användandet av digitala rekryteringsverktyg och onlinerekrytering har ökat markant de senaste åren. Denna kvalitativa studie grundar sig i intervjuer med 5 rekryteringsansvariga från 3 olika företag som är baserade i Sverige. Slutsatsen var att digitala rekryteringsverktyg användes av de intervjuade i olika omfång och syfte, men att de ansåg att det fanns stor potential i sättet att arbeta med digitaliserade rekryteringsmetoder. Studien visar även att de intervjuade ansåg att digitala rekryteringsverktyg har lett till förbättringar för rekryterare, framförallt gällande kostnad för annonsering och annonsens räckvidd.
