Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

Psychosocial work environment is important since a substantial part of life is spent at the workplace. In this quantitative questionnaire study, 77 stationary and mobile consultants were included with the purpose to observe possible differences in experience of psychosocial work environment and health. The hypothesis postulated that mobile consultants would grade the psychosocial work environment and health lower, than stationary consultants. Statistical analyses showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups of consultants due to mental- and somatic health. Control of work was graded significantly higher by the mobile than stationary consultants. The allocation of consultants between the four psychosocial work experience in the Demand- Control Model was uniform. The study showed that stationary and mobile consultants experience the psychosocial work environment and health relatively equal.
