This paper focuses on how the social impact of companies in production countries could be improved. With the sustainable development goals (SDGs) calling for more inclusive and empowering business practices, we explore the existing literature to see how the workers in the production countries are or could be more involved with developing the better-suitable working practices. We examine how working conditions could be conceptually understood from a bottom-up approach , viewing the worker as an important agent in the solving of ineffectual corporate responsibility (CR ) practices.
