Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this project was to explore the hindrances and limitations companies have tobegin or further develop the application of Topology Optimisation in design for AdditiveManufacturing. The purpose is also to investigate the challenges and benefits of doing so. Theinitial standpoint was that industry professionals needed to be interviewed in combinationwith a brief literature survey to answer the thesis questions. Five useful interviews werecarried out with different interviewees that were all professionals in different industries anddifferent sizes of companies. The literature study was carried out early in the process to get astable understanding of the subject. The results were only partly conclusive. Five distinctconclusions about the hindrances and limitations were presented that offered a real-world andpractical view from actual industry professionals.
