Abstract [sv]

Detta projekt går i synnerhet ut på att analysera och optimera Generic Mobiles meddelandetjänster med avseende på prestanda (prio 1) och kodeffektivitet (prio 2). Syftet är att snabba upp systemet så att ett meddelande transiteras genom tjänsterna så snabbt som möjligt, samtidigt som belastning på mjuk- och hårdvara samt databas är minimal. Till att börja med ligger fokus på att optimera tjänsten ”SMS via E-post” och sedan kommer en mer generell metod för “Store and Forward”-optimering att diskuteras. Slutligen redogörs för en optimal SaF-metod som fungerar i allmänna likartade system.

För att påvisa effektiviteten i det nya systemet diskuteras ett par olika analysmetoder, samt hur analysdata kan granskas dynamiskt.

Abstract [en]

This project is about analyzing and optimizing Generic Mobile’s messaging services with respect to performance (priority 1) and code efficiency (priority 2). The aim is to speed up the system so that a message will transit through as quickly as possible, while the load on software, hardware and database is minimal. To begin with, I will focus on optimizing the service "SMS via E-post" and then a more general approach to store-and-forward optimization will be discussed. Finally, an optimal method that works in similar systems is presented. 

In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the new system, a couple of analytical methods and how to analyze the data dynamically will be discussed.
