Abstract [en]

Assessments on scales and questionnaires generate ordered categorical data. Characteristic features are the ordered structure with lack of information regarding size and inter-categorical distances. This paper presents a statistical method for analysis of change in paired ordinal data. The combination of marginal based statistical measures and allocation of ranks tied to the pairs of assessments makes it possible to evaluate the systematic change in common for the group separately from additional individual changes. Different examples with calculations and interpretations are presented in the paper.
