Sammanfattning

 

Syftet med denna undersökning var dels att undersöka hur ledare motiverar sina medarbetare utifrån inre och yttre motivationsaspekter, dels att se vilken ledarskaps stil som ledarna utövar utifrån transformellt och transanktionellt ledarskap med hänsyn till hur de motiverar sina medarbetare.

 

Följande frågeställningar besvarades i studien:

 

  • Hur motiverar ledarna sina medarbetare utifrån inre och yttre motivationsaspekter?
  • Hur kan man beskriva ledarskapen utifrån transanktionellt och transformellt ledarskap beroende på hur ledarna motiverar sina medarbetare?
  • Finns det några skillnader mellan hur de intervjuade ledarna skapar motivation bland sina medarbetare? Om det finns skillnader, hur kan man karakterisera dem?

 

Jag besvarade frågeställningarna genom att använda mig av kvalitativ undersökning i form av fem intervjuer. Som analysverktyg använde jag mig av begrepp som inre och yttre motivation, transformellt och transanktionellt ledarskap.

 

Min slutsats är att det finns skillnader i hur ledarna motiverar sina medarbetare men att de alla använder sig utav både inre och yttre motivationsaspekter. Utifrån hur ledarna motiverar sina medarbetare visar största del på ett transformellt ledarskap, dock visar en del av ledarna även till viss del på ett transanktionellt ledarskap utifrån deras motivationsutövanden.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was partly to investigate how leaders motivate their employees according to intrinsic and extrinsic motivational aspects, partly to see which style of leadership that leaders exercise based on transformal and transanctional leadership with regard to how they motivate their employees. The following issues are addressed in my study:

 How do leaders motivate their employees according intrinsic and extrinsic motivation aspects?

 How can the leaderships be described from transformal as well as transanctional leadership depending how leaders motivates their employees?

 Are there differences between how the interviewed leaders create motivation among their employees? If there are differences, how would you characterize them?

I answered the questions by using a qualitative inquiry in the form of five interviews. As analysis tools I have used the terms intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, transformal and transanctional leadership. My conclusion is that there are differences in how leaders motivate their employees, but they all use both internal and external motivation aspects.The greatest part of transformal leadership among the leaders its shown in how leaders motivate their employees, but some of the leaders also show a certain amount of transanctional leadership based on how they create motivation.
