Abstract [en]
Abstract
The study aims to investigate a workgroup called Parental support and the staffs experience of their
assignment, cooperation and the overall goals for the organization. The study also examines how the
staff works and how work with parental support can be developed in the future. A qualitative research
method was used where six respondents were interviewed. Applying a Grounded Theory (GT) inspired
method, the study was based on collected data which was analyzed with theories and former research.
Previously the work with parental support was conducted by two different units in the community. The
groups were then assembled into the group now called Parental support. Today the workgroup consists
of four women and two men aged 47-64 years. The results show difficulties in cooperation within the
workgroup and that management does not perform well along the employees' wishes. Everyone in the
workgroup is content with the work they do but there are differences in respondents' views of the work
and tasks performed within the unit and how it should develop in the future.
