Change and absence of change in historical narration: The Pentecostal Filadelfia Church in Stockholm telling its story
Örebro University, School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences.
2012 (English)In: Narration and Narratives as an Interdisciplinary Field of Study, 2012Conference paper, Oral presentation with published abstract (Other academic)
Abstract [en]

The aim of the paper is to discuss the ability of the narrative perspective to explain change, and especially absence of change, in a group’s way of telling its story. The empirical case is the Filadelfia Church in Stockholm. In the discussion, I will particularly emphasize the need to interpret the story in relation to context but also in relation to the group’s norms and goals.
