The purpose of this study is to examine whether or not and if so, to what extent young Assyrian men’s living and living space is structured by honor norms. The empirical data for the study were obtained through six semi-structured interviews conducted using a qualitative research method. The empirical data has been interpreted based on the theoretical concepts of honor culture, patriarchal structures, masculinity, team-based and individual-based societies, respectability, identity development, collective and individual identities and cross-pressure identity. The study leads to an understanding of how young Assyrian men’s life situations looks like, a situation with honor norms in an individual-based society.
