Abstract [sv]

fortsätter i någon form.

Abstract [en]

Trafikverket has made a decision that BIM should be implemented in their business. The

concept of BIM has been flourishing in the construction industry for several years and has

gained importance after a data tools to work with it was developed. Since this is a new way to

work, the built documents describing how a finished bridge looks like, which comes from the

WSP to Trafikverket, will differ from what they do today. Based on literature on the area, it

has in this report been produced how the built documents are designed today, and what BIM

means. For these two pieces to be tied together it requires extensive standardization work that

includes the lifecycle of a bridge. With support of the interviews the report reveals an interest

in working with BIM even from Trafikverkets service. Because there are some parts of the

relation documents that are used in the administration of a bridge, these parts will also be

affected if the systems and routines for how the administrators’ work changes. The service

therefore wishes that they in some way could continue the work with the administration tools

they are using today.
