En explorativ kognitionspsykologisk granskning görs av det riksbekanta Louise-fallet, i vilket en socialnämnd underlåtit att omhänderta en flicka som for illa hos sin vårdnadshavare. Kognitiva mönster i handläggningen klargörs och ett stort antal tankefel i fallet specificeras.
