During the last years eye tracking and gaze estimation has become more and more ofa hot topic as the idea of tracking a person’s gaze could be used to collect extremelyvaluable data in different situations. One of theses situations is for drivers in cars andthere ability to pay attention. A project that is currently being worked on uses eyetracking glasses in order to estimate a drivers gaze to help with determining thedriving capabilities of said driver. This paper explores the idea of removing the eyetracking glasses and instead implementing a remote eye tracking setup that would beless intrusive for the driver. This is done both by trying to create a solution from theground up but also by looking through a few other papers to see whether or not theyhave managed to create a suitable solution.
