The Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) technique can be applied as a mechanical concept for vibration reduction. In Structure Health Management (SHM), it is important to save the structure from possible damage and maintain unwanted vibrations as low as possible. When a structure or mechanical system experiences high vibration at the resonance frequency, this technique is efficient in suppressing the amplitude at this frequency. In the current article, TMD is applied to a tile structure that is designed for power generation. The structure experiences resonance high vibration due to an external vibration source. Then a ural frequency is evaluated for the tile structure as a 1DOF and then after adding the TMD system as a 2DOF. The results show effective vibration amplitude suppression. The added TMD is a small applicable system that saves the structure health from the damage that might happen due to the high resonance vibration and it can be easily disassembled when the risk of the external excitation source is removed.
